Position: Software QA Engineer

Reports to: Software QA Manager

Position Location: Company HQ in Suburban Philadelphia, PA

MOBILion is a pioneering biopharma startup that has developed a unique Structures for Lossless Ion Manipulation (SLIM) technology enabling greater ion mobility separation. Our MOBIE product is a unique machine running our proprietary software that can allow Mass Spectrometry users to see a greater range of separation than ever before.

We are looking for a strong software QA Engineer that is enthusiastic about our product that has the drive, initiative, and ability to take our Quality department to the next level. With increasing demand for our MOBIE solution, the software QA Engineer will focus on maintaining, writing and running tests, using a combination of JAMA/JIRA and be a go-to member for software process. Responsibilities:

  • Creation of Test cases in test management systems 50%
  • Running Test cases 25%
  • Analysis of requirements and ensuring they are met and are covered by test cases 15%
  • Configuring software/test environments 5%
  • Defect Tracking/Management 5%

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience working with the software development lifecycle in a software QA role
  • Experience working in a science-based field (Pharma/Medical Devices, Mass Spec would be a plus)
  • Familiarity with REST API’s (Postman testing is a plus)
  • Familiarity with Test Management Tools (JAMA/JIRA a plus)
  • Understanding of simple SQL queries
  • Understanding of SOPs
  • Strong Problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of positive and negative testing
  • Superb communication and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to work within the United States
  • Willing to relocate to the Chadds Ford, PA region

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Information Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Docker Desktop and AWS
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience in technical writing.
  • IT/Technical configuration skills.
  • Familiarity with Test Automation solutions such as Selenium.
  • Not afraid to code in any number of languages (Python, Java, C#)
  • Experience with QA of medical devices hardware/software
  • Understanding of Bio Informatics
  • Work in an Agile Development environment
