Position: Service Technician

Reports to: Field Service Manager

Position Location: Chadds Ford, PA (Office Based, with up to 40% travel)

We are looking for a bright, energetic chemistry, physics, or engineering graduate with some experience operating analytical instrumentation. As the premier supplier of ion mobility instruments, we interface our instruments to LC (liquid chromatography) and QTOF (quad time of flight) instruments so experience with LC, or GCMS (gas chromatography mass spectrometry) or QTOF is a plus.

The selected candidate will support our in-house applications laboratory as well as providing both phone and onsite support to our growing customer/instrument base. The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will be responsible for the installation, customer familiarization and support of our commercial instruments throughout the United States. In addition, the selected candidate will be responsible for writing and documenting various tasks and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytical chemistry, chemistry, physics, engineering, or related fields. An advanced degree in these or related disciplines is a plus
  • Experience in LC, GCMS or QTOF instrumentation is a plus.
  • Must be able to use logical thought processes to analyze and resolve technical challenges
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with the technical team
