The Human Resources Generalist plays an instrumental role in managing the daily operations of the HR department, including talent management, guiding employees through the onboarding and offboarding processes, and managing employee relations. This position partners cross-functionally to strengthen an employee-centered, high-performance culture. The HR Generalist will develop and maintain a deep understanding of the culture and business to effectively align HR programs with organizational strategies.

Your Responsibilities:

(1) Talent Management (70%)
• Partners closely with leadership and HR team to drive business strategy by connecting achievement of business goals to talent strategies. Influences and aligns teams and stakeholders on Talent initiatives, objectives, and decisions.
• Provides tools and resources for effective assessment and development that will fuel the individual growth required to drive business results.
• Develops, leads, and facilitates talent-wide initiatives across the Company.
• Stays connected to internal and external trends relating to motivating, engaging, and preparing talent for evolving challenges and opportunities. Looks for innovative ways to reach end-users with meaningful content.
• Identifies ways to simplify Talent processes through streamlined tools, resources, and communication.
• Administers the annual and mid-year performance review and goal-setting processes.
• Leads the new employee orientation on onboarding experiences.
• Develops training profiles, curriculums, and monitors training compliance in Paycor.
• Analyzes data to discover and address opportunities. Defines key people metrics to assist in talent development, decision-making, and organizational effectiveness. Monitors/audits key talent metrics, provides analysis and strategies around talent initiatives.
• Provides weekly summary/analysis and operational calendar with tactical planning and administration.

(2) Employee Relations (15%)
• Serves as the primary employee relations HR contact. Researches, investigates, and makes recommendations related to workplace grievances. Conducts investigations relating to issues including policy violations, behavior issues, and allegations of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Consults with counsel as necessary.
• Drafts investigation reports.
• Guides, trains, and directs managers and employees on HR policies and processes to ensure fair & honest treatment, adherence to Company policy, and legal compliance.
• Leads the exit interview process. Documents feedback and maintains metrics.
• Identifies employee relations trends, recommends solutions, and partners with HR and business leaders on developing action plans.
• Builds manager skill sets, provides advice, coaches employees, and managers.

(3) Organizational Culture (15%)
• Acts on opportunities to impact engagement. Assists leadership in deepening employee engagement to maximize performance and potential. Provides data and analysis across all channels, champions progress, and updates.
• Interacts with HR and business leaders to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction and engagement.
• Administers the annual employee engagement survey. Analyzes results, identifies trends, and leads communication efforts. Partners with leadership to develop action plans and monitors results
• Participate in and facilitate new hire roundtable sessions. Identify trends and solutions. Maintain and communicate engagement metrics.
• Administer and maintain employee recognition program.

Position Qualifications:

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a Ph.D. without experience; or equivalent experience.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality throughout conversations and investigations. Manage highly confidential human resources information and exercise sound judgment in handling or working with confidential data and situations.
• Proven experience in partnering, consulting, influencing & relationship management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the personal presence to influence others whether in small groups or presenting to large audiences.
• Excellent conceptual skills and ability to package complex materials into a well-organized and succinct work product.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, matrixed organization and confident in their regular interactions with the business and making decisions that require intellectual nimbleness, pragmatism, and values-based decision making.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and hardworking team player, with strong influencing skills
• Effectively balance strategic thinking with the ability to get things done within a rapidly changing work environment.
• A high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
• Ability to engage and connect with virtual team members and stakeholders.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience working with Paycor preferred.
